The Civil War, or the “War Between the States” as southern gentlemen prefer to call it, was waged in many areas within Arkansas’ borders.  This history is seen by the reenactments of the war in Camden.  You would be hard-pressed to find a more beautiful state than Arkansas.  No single site shows this more than Whitaker Point in the Ozark National Forest.  Stare out into the majestic green forests from the point high above the elegant national park.
