23/24 Occupational Therapist in Fillmore, CA

Our school in Fillmore, CA is seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team. The Occupational Therapist will work closely with students, teachers, and other school personnel to provide services that help students achieve their academic goals. • Traveling between buildings required

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and assess students’ functional abilities related to school performance and participation
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the identified needs of each student
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to support the academic progress and functional performance of students
• Provide direct intervention to students individually or in small groups to improve fine motor skills, handwriting, visual perceptual skills, self-regulation, and sensory processing
• Use evidence-based practices and assistive technology to enhance students’ ability to participate in daily school activities
• Document and maintain accurate records of evaluation results, progress reports, and treatment plans
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to provide recommendations for accommodations and modifications

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of California
• Experience working in a school setting preferred
• Knowledge of federal and state laws related to education and disability services, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
