Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) Needed near Little Sacramento, CA
Job Description: Soliant is partnering with a reputable school district near Sacramento, CA, to fill a full-time Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) position for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate professional to provide exceptional occupational therapy services to students. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children while working in a supportive school environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to determine students' occupational therapy needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on students' goals and abilities
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to address fine motor skills, sensory processing, visual perception, self-care, and daily living skills
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other team members to ensure coordination of services and integration of therapy goals within the educational setting
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Provide education and guidance to parents, teachers, and staff regarding strategies for supporting students' occupational development and maximizing their participation in educational activities
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of therapy sessions and student progress
- Stay informed about current research, trends, and best practices in pediatric occupational therapy
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy
- Valid California state license or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience working with pediatric populations is desirable
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- A passion for supporting children's occupational development and well-being
