Soliant Health, a leading healthcare staffing provider, is seeking a qualified and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join a reputable school district in Elk Grove, California. We have an exciting opportunity available for the upcoming school year. This is a full-time, onsite position that offers a rewarding experience in supporting students' occupational therapy needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Implement therapeutic activities and interventions to improve students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities
- Collaborate with occupational therapists, teachers, and other members of the educational team to develop and implement appropriate treatment plans
- Monitor students' progress and document outcomes to inform ongoing therapy interventions
- Assist in the modification of classroom activities and materials to support students' participation and engagement
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Current license or eligibility for licensure in California as a COTA
- Experience working with a K-12 caseload preferred
- Strong background in working with students with moderate to severe disabilities highly desirable
- Knowledge of sensory integration techniques and adaptive equipment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
