Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) job near Lewisburg, OR

Location: Near Lewisburg, Oregon

Type: Full-time, Contract

Start Date: ASAP

End Date: End of School Year

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team and work with 60 students at a school in the Lewisburg, Oregon area. This is a full-time contract position that will last through the end of the school year.

Responsibilities:

• Work with students to develop and implement individualized occupational therapy plans under the supervision of an occupational therapist.
• Use evidence-based interventions and strategies to help students develop, recover, or maintain the daily living and work skills needed for independent and productive lives.
• Monitor student progress and communicate regularly with parents, teachers, and other team members.
• Work collaboratively with the occupational therapist and other members of the educational team to ensure the needs of the students are met.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided.

Requirements:

• Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field.
• Active certification as a COTA from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
• Valid Oregon state licensure or eligibility for licensure.
• Experience working with school-aged children preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
