We are excited to announce a collaborative opportunity with Soliant Health, a leading healthcare staffing agency. Together, we are seeking a dedicated and qualified Occupational Therapist to join our team in Belvidere, Illinois. This position will cover two school buildings—elementary and middle school—serving both self-contained and regular education students. The initial assignment is temporary, spanning from January 9, 2023, to June 5, 2024, with the possibility of renewal, and requires a commitment of 37.5 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to support student success
- Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of goals and objectives
- Work closely with other members of the educational team to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current Illinois state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- School-based experience preferred, but not required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
