We are currently seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join us on a contract basis. Position Summary: We are looking for a passionate and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team as a contracted professional. In this role, you will provide school-based occupational therapy services to students for the full 23/24 school year. Your expertise will contribute to enhancing students' physical, emotional, and cognitive development, helping them thrive in their educational journey.

Responsibilities:

• Assess students' individual needs and develop customized occupational therapy plans.
• Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students with disabilities and developmental challenges.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students.
• Adapt classroom environments and provide recommendations for specialized equipment or modifications as needed.
• Monitor and document student progress, including writing reports and maintaining accurate records.
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide input on goals and objectives.
• Engage in collaboration with other occupational therapists and professionals to share best practices and stay updated on industry trends.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist in TX (or eligibility for licensure).
• Previous experience working as an Occupational Therapist in a school setting is strongly preferred.
• Solid understanding of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and special education practices.
• Strong assessment and intervention skills, with the ability to develop individualized therapy plans.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with students, parents, and a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficient in documenting and maintaining accurate records.
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
