Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and qualified Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our school-based team in Elkton, MD. The OT will play a crucial role in helping students develop essential skills to thrive in their educational environment. This position involves providing therapy services to students with diverse needs, enabling them to achieve their academic and daily living goals.
Responsibilities:
- Perform evaluations to assess students' fine motor, sensory processing, and functional abilities.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on student assessments and IEP goals.
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students in both individual and group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to support student learning and promote skill development.
- Monitor and document student progress, making adjustments to therapy plans as needed.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expert insight into occupational therapy interventions.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Valid Maryland OT license.
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage a caseload and maintain detailed records.
