Job Description:
As a School-Based Occupational Therapist with Soliant Education, you will be at the forefront of creating positive and lasting change for students with diverse needs. You'll have the opportunity to work within a supportive and forward-thinking educational environment, collaborating with a team of professionals who share a common goal - to unlock the full potential of every student we serve.
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive assessments to identify students' unique strengths and areas for growth
- Develop personalized and engaging treatment plans, integrating the latest evidence-based practices to support students' functional abilities and academic success
- Utilize cutting-edge therapeutic techniques and activities to foster students' development in fine motor skills, sensory processing, and self-regulation
- Embrace technology and innovative tools to enhance therapy outcomes and streamline documentation processes
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to implement therapy services within the classroom and promote inclusive education practices
- Participate in team meetings, IEP conferences, and professional development opportunities to continuously improve your skills and knowledge
- Caseload: K-12th grade
- Full-time (32.5/hrs.)
Requirements:
- Valid California Occupational Therapy license
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
- Prior experience in a school-based setting preferred, but we welcome motivated new graduates with a passion for school-based OT!
- Ability to think creatively and adapt interventions to meet the unique needs of each student
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Enthusiasm for staying current with emerging trends and research in school-based occupational therapy
