Occupational Therapist (OT) Opening Near Bolingbrook, IL | ASAP - Start

We are actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist for a full-time position within a reputable school district near Bolingbrook, Illinois. This is an immediate opportunity, with the contract commencing ASAP and running through 1/22/24. Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to determine students' occupational therapy needs and develop appropriate intervention plans.
• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, utilizing evidence-based practices and innovative techniques to improve fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily living.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to integrate therapy goals into the students' educational plans and create a supportive learning environment.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating goal-oriented activities and exercises to support students in achieving their occupational therapy objectives.
• Maintain accurate and organized documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and reports in compliance with professional and district standards.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Illinois state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• Previous experience working as an Occupational Therapist in an educational setting is highly advantageous.
• Strong understanding of sensory processing disorders, motor coordination challenges, and effective therapeutic interventions.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration with students, families, and fellow professionals.
• Dedication to the growth and development of students, promoting independence and improved quality of life through occupational therapy services.
