Job Description:

Soliant Health is excited to announce an immediate opening for an Occupational Therapist with expertise in feeding skills. This 11-month contract position offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse caseload while focusing on enhancing feeding skills in children. The successful candidate will primarily work from our main site but will also collaborate with schools, visiting students based on their needs and evaluations.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough evaluations of students to assess their feeding skills and identify areas requiring intervention
• Develop and implement customized treatment plans to address feeding challenges and improve overall feeding experiences
• Provide direct one-on-one therapy sessions to students, focusing on enhancing their feeding skills, oral motor coordination, and sensory processing
• Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other relevant professionals to ensure a comprehensive and holistic approach to student care
• Travel to schools based on student need and evaluations to provide on-site therapy and consultation
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of student progress, treatment plans, and session notes
• Provide guidance and education to parents, caregivers, and school staff on strategies to support students' feeding skills development outside of therapy sessions
• Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development opportunities to stay updated on best practices in pediatric feeding therapy

Qualifications:

• Valid state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist
• Specialized experience and passion for working with children to improve feeding skills
• Familiarity with various feeding challenges, oral motor coordination, and sensory processing issues
