Part Time Occupational Therapist (OT) - Chicago, IL

Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team for a part-time contract position in the Chicago, IL area. This role will involve working with students across various age groups and abilities within a school setting. The successful candidate will provide high-quality occupational therapy services, contributing to the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and ensuring the success and well-being of each student.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students' needs and strengths.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support students' academic and social development.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, utilizing evidence-based practices.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and treatment plans.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of IEP goals and objectives.
- Offer guidance and support to school staff regarding best practices for supporting students with occupational therapy needs.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Illinois.
- Previous experience working in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to professional development and staying current with best practices in the field.
