Description
- Collaborate with occupational therapists and educators to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students with various disabilities and developmental challenges.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, including assessment, intervention, and documentation, to support their functional skills and overall well-being.
- Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques and adaptive equipment to enhance students' motor skills, sensory processing, self-care abilities, and social interactions.
- Maintain accurate records of students' progress, monitor their goals, and communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team, parents, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Arizona.
- Experience or strong interest in working with pediatric populations, preferably in a school setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and other team members.
