School-Based Physical Therapist in Boston, MA

Hiring: School Physical Therapist (PT) 

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team in the Boston, MA and surrounding areas. As a School PT, you will work with students in educational settings to help improve their physical function, mobility, and overall quality of life. You will collaborate with educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that support the students' academic and functional goals.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' physical abilities and needs
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on assessment findings
• Provide direct therapeutic interventions and exercises to improve students' motor skills, coordination, balance, and mobility
• Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other team members to promote a supportive and inclusive educational environment
• Educate and empower students, teachers, and parents on strategies for maintaining physical health and well-being
• Stay up to date with current research, techniques, and best practices in school-based physical therapy

Requirements:

• Master's degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist in Massachusetts
• Experience or strong interest in working with pediatric populations
• Knowledge of educational systems and the role of physical therapy in a school setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
