Job Title: School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT)
Location: El Paso, Texas and surrounding areas
We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team and provide exceptional services to students in El Paso, TX, and the surrounding areas. As a School-Based OT, you will play a vital role in helping students develop and improve their fine motor skills, sensory integration, and functional independence within an educational setting.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.
- Provide direct therapy services to students with occupational therapy needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' functional needs.
- Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide input regarding students' goals and progress.
- Offer guidance and support to teachers and other staff members regarding strategies to enhance students' participation and independence.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Valid Texas state license or eligibility for licensure.
- Previous experience in a school-based setting is desirable but not required.
- Strong knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
