Job Description:
As a School Physical Therapist (PT), you will play a vital role in helping students achieve their full potential by providing expert physical therapy services. Your primary focus will be on assessing and treating students with physical challenges, promoting mobility, function, and independence. Collaborating with educators, parents, and other therapists, you will contribute to the students' overall success and well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of students' physical capabilities and challenges.
- Develop personalized treatment plans and goals for each student.
- Provide individual and group physical therapy sessions as needed.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other therapy professionals to support student development.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.
Requirements:
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current Texas state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
- Experience in pediatric physical therapy is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a school setting.
