Responsibilities:
As a School Physical Therapist (PT), you will play a crucial role in supporting students' physical development and participation in educational activities. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assessing students' motor skills, strength, balance, and mobility.
- Developing and implementing individualized physical therapy plans.
- Providing direct intervention and therapeutic exercises to address students' specific needs.
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a coordinated and integrated approach to student support.
- Monitoring students' progress and adjusting therapy goals as needed.
- Conducting periodic evaluations to measure progress and inform intervention strategies.
- Participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and providing input for goal development.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Physical Therapy or a related field.
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist in Massachucets.
- Experience working with school-aged children is highly desirable.
- Strong clinical and assessment skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
