About the Position
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team in Highlands, TX, and provide essential therapy services to students from Pre-K through 12th grade. Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Occupational Therapist (OT) in delivering therapy services to students with diverse needs.
- Implement individualized treatment plans to support students’ fine motor, sensory, and daily living skills.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to promote student success.
- Adapt therapy techniques to meet the unique needs of each student.
Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited COTA program.
- Current Texas state license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
- Experience in pediatric or school-based settings is preferred but not required.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Experience with or willingness to learn about diverse student needs.
- Proficiency in technology for documentation and virtual therapy when necessary.
