We are looking for a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team near Hudson, Illinois. This is a full-time, school-based role, focusing on an elementary and junior high caseload. You will work closely with a licensed occupational therapist to provide therapy and support to students, helping them develop essential life and learning skills.
Position Details:
- Location: Near Hudson, IL
- Caseload/Population: Elementary and Junior High students
- Assignment Period: Full school year
- Start Date: ASAP
- Hours: Full-time
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the occupational therapist in delivering therapy services to students
- Implement treatment plans designed to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities
- Provide support in both individual and group therapy sessions
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to ensure therapy goals are being met
- Document student progress and communicate updates to the occupational therapist and school team
Qualifications:
- Illinois COTA certification required
- Associate's or Bachelor's in Occupational Therapy or relevant field
- Experience in a school-based setting is preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team
