Schools Occupational Therapist (23/24)- Maple Valley, Washington

Fulltime (35-40 hrs)
 

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Schools Occupational Therapist to join our team for the 23/24 school year. The Schools Occupational Therapist will work with students of all ages and varying disabilities, providing assessments, evaluations, and therapy services in accordance with the Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and other relevant educational plans.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct occupational therapy assessments and evaluations
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students with sensory processing disorders, fine motor delays, and other related disabilities
• Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support the educational needs of students
• Document progress, complete reports, and maintain accurate records
• Participate in team meetings and professional development activities

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university
• Washington state licensure as an Occupational Therapist or the ability to obtain licensure
• Previous experience working in a school setting preferred, but not required

Skills and Qualifications:

• Knowledge of evidence-based practices in occupational therapy
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with other professionals
• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational setting
