You’ll collaborate with a team of passionate educators, families, and specialists, providing expert guidance and support within a dynamic school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ abilities in fine motor skills, sensory processing, visual-motor integration, and daily functional tasks to facilitate meaningful school participation
- Design, implement, and monitor individualized occupational therapy interventions in alignment with students’ IEP goals
- Deliver both direct and consultative services to students, offering support in individual and small group settings
- Work closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure cohesive support and goal attainment for each student
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, assessments, and regular progress reviews
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
- Current California Occupational Therapy License, or eligibility to obtain prior to start date
- Valid NBCOT certification
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy is highly valued
- Understanding of the IEP process, special education framework, and contemporary models of school-based OT services
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
- Commitment to supporting diverse student populations
- Completion of FBI/DOJ background clearance in accordance with district protocols
