Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current state OT license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings is highly valued
- Ability to work effectively with children from elementary through high school
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Collaborative mindset for working with educators, parents, and support staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ functional abilities and needs within the academic environment
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans focused on enhancing students’ participation and success
- Work one-on-one or in small groups to address fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom access
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to support students’ goals and progress
- Maintain thorough documentation, ensuring compliance with educational and OT standards
- Participate in IEP meetings and communicate progress to families and staff
- Adapt interventions as needed to accommodate changing student needs throughout the school year
