School Occupational Therapist | Eden Prairie, Minnesota
Make a meaningful impact supporting students in a charter school environment by providing occupational therapy services to a diverse K–8 population. This rewarding contract opportunity offers flexible scheduling, with primary coverage two days a week (potential to increase to three as needed) and a manageable caseload of approximately 35 students. You'll be working alongside a collaborative special education team, using a range of service delivery models, including push-in, pull-out, and consultative approaches.
Ideal candidates will bring experience working in schools, home health, or teletherapy, and be comfortable adapting to both in-person and remote service needs. Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) are welcome to apply, provided appropriate supervision is in place.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), with active credentials for Minnesota
- Previous experience in school-based, home health, healthcare, and/or teletherapy settings
- Ability to work effectively with K–8 students, including those with academic, behavioral, and related service challenges
- Familiarity with IEP development and management (SPED Forms experience preferred)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services utilizing push-in, pull-out, and consult methods
- Assess, plan, and document progress for a caseload of approximately 35 K–8 students
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide consultative support to educators and families
- Flexibly adapt to hybrid or entirely teletherapy-based service models, as needed
- Collaborate with a dedicated special education team
