Occupational Therapist School Setting in Chicago, IL

Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or eligibility to obtain prior to start
- Experience providing OT services in a school setting preferred
- Knowledge of IEP processes, student evaluations, and progress monitoring
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, paraprofessionals, families, and students
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and participate in multidisciplinary evaluation teams
- Develop and implement customized therapy plans to address student goals
- Provide direct interventions, group sessions, and classroom consultations
- Maintain thorough documentation on student progress, assessments, and treatment plans
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to individualized plans
- Advise educators on adapting classroom activities and materials for student success
