Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our school-based team in Weston, CT. This part-time position is for 20 hours per week with flexible scheduling available Monday through Friday. The position offers an immediate start.
As an OT in this school setting, you will work with students to support their participation in educational activities by addressing their fine motor skills, sensory processing, and self-regulation needs. You will collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to create effective therapy plans tailored to individual students.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students' needs related to occupational therapy
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct therapy services to students in a school setting
- Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to support students’ educational progress
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for accommodations and modifications
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Connecticut
- Experience working in a school-based setting preferred but not required
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
