This position splits your time between a K-12 site—primarily working with elementary students—and the Early Education Center, a unique and innovative environment specializing in early developmental support. Your days may vary, traveling to more than one location or adapting to different sites based on needs and caseload distribution. Expect a full-time schedule throughout the school year, from October 20th to May 28th.
Key Qualifications:
- Certification as a COTA (Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant) is required; OTs are also welcome to apply.
- School-based experience is preferred, but not required—enthusiasm and adaptability are highly valued.
- Ability to manage a caseload averaging 30-35 students.
- Comfortable working under supervision from up to two district supervisors.
- Strong communication and time management skills for effective collaboration across multiple sites.
Main Responsibilities:
- Deliver therapy services to K-12 and early education students as determined by IEPs and student needs.
- Work flexibly across several district sites, adjusting to daily or weekly changes in assignment.
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with educators, families, and supervisors.
- Document progress, maintain records, and adhere to best practices for school-based therapy.
