Michigan has had a tourism slogan that states “Say Yes to Michigan.”  Set one foot in the state during your next OT job and you will be saying “Yes.”  One of the most picturesque sites in the country is located at the tips of the Upper and Lower Peninsula.  Many people do not realize that Michigan is actually separated by five miles by a body of water known as the Straits of Mackinac.  Here the straits are brought together by the beautiful Mackinac Bridge with resort communities on either side of the bridge.

Cars have a large hold on Michigan. After all, Detroit is known as the Motor City.  The auto industry helped grow Detroit and this is celebrated, among all things Detroit at the Detroit Historical Museum.  In the home of the Ford Motor Company’s Headquarters, Dearborn, there is the Automotive Hall of Fame.  Michigan has several getaways to cool off in the summer during your OT job.  “Go up North” as Michiganders call it involves going to places such as Traverse City for the annual Cherry Festival or to see one of the largest water falls, Tahquamenon Falls, located in the Upper Peninsula.
