“It’s Good Being First.”  Everyone can agree with this statement, but in Delaware this statement is a way of life.  The tiny state of Delaware was the first state to join the union and its citizens are quite quick to make sure visitors and new residents know this factoid.  They also point out that being the first in something often means you are the best at something.  It is all good-natured, but when stepping foot on Delaware soil and exploring the sites that unfold before you, it is easy to see that being the first state is not the only thing Delaware is first or best in.

It goes without saying that the first state has a wealth of historical sites waiting for you to explore on your next OT job.  Several restored period mansions sprinkle the Delaware landscape.  From the historic Governor Ross Mansion and Plantation to Woodburn, the current governor’s residence, Delaware has plenty of meticulously maintained homes from past generations.  Being a coastal state, Delaware has several exquisite beaches such as Bethany and Rehoboth Beach.  Sipping on a fruity and frosty cocktail while on these beaches is quite a way to relax in the first state during your OT job!
