School Occupational Therapist (OT) Job - Delaware

A school district near Middletown, DE, is seeking a licensed School Occupational Therapist (OT) for the 2026–2027 school year. This school-based occupational therapy contract offers the opportunity to support students in PreK–12 by helping them develop the skills needed for academic participation, independence, and success in the school environment.
School Occupational Therapist Qualifications
- Active Occupational Therapy (OT) license in Delaware or eligibility to apply
- Previous school-based or pediatric occupational therapy experience preferred, but not required
- Strong communication and collaboration skills when working with students, teachers, school staff, and families
- Ability to conduct occupational therapy evaluations, develop individualized plans of care, and maintain accurate documentation
Occupational Therapist Job Responsibilities
- Provide school-based occupational therapy services to PreK–12 students in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and district guidelines
- Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and assessments to identify students’ functional and educational needs
- Participate in eligibility meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary school teams
- Develop and implement appropriate occupational therapy goals and intervention plans
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of evaluations, treatment sessions, student progress, and related services
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other service providers to support student participation and educational outcomes
