Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Delaware license as an Occupational Therapist
- Previous experience in a school-based OT role preferred
- Strong collaborative spirit and communication skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Passion for helping students achieve their goals and succeed in the school environment
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services for students with diverse needs
- Assess, plan, and document individualized therapy goals aligned with educational objectives
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—including teachers, parents, and administration—to support student success
- Maintain detailed and compliant records of services, progress, and outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings to contribute to the development of student programs and adapt strategies as needed
- Educate staff and families about best practices in supporting students’ motor and adaptive skills
- Foster a supportive and inclusive atmosphere that promotes independence
