Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active California OT license and all necessary credentials to practice in a school setting
- Prior experience working with children or in school environments is strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP processes, therapeutic interventions, and adaptive equipment
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
- Passion for fostering student independence and skill confidence
Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skills within the school setting
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with students’ IEPs
- Collaborate closely with teachers, school staff, and families to provide best-in-class support
- Guide teachers and support staff in the use of adaptive techniques and strategies in the classroom
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation and progress reports
- Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Educate and empower both students and their caregivers for ongoing success
