Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active OT license in the state of Michigan
- Previous experience in school-based settings strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP process and documentation requirements
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Compassionate, adaptable, and patient approach working with diverse populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for students
- Provide direct occupational therapy services and consult with staff and families
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, documenting progress and goals
- Adhere to best practices and regulatory guidelines for school-based therapy
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and other professionals to integrate strategies across environments
- Maintain accurate records of interventions and outcomes
