This full-time, contract role is set to begin on August 27, 2026 and spans approximately 12 weeks, covering an FMLA leave with the possibility of extension. In this engaging district-wide position, you'll support learners from Pre-K through 12th grade under the guidance of an Occupational Therapist, helping students achieve their individualized goals.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid COTA license (CT DPH) and successful completion of the NBCOT exam
- Previous experience in a school-based environment is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with educational teams
- Reliable transportation to access multiple district locations
- Strong organizational skills and adaptability
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement occupational therapy treatment plans as directed by supervising OT
- Provide direct therapy services to students with a wide range of needs and disabilities
- Support goal achievement and foster student independence in school activities
- Maintain accurate documentation, track progress, and prepare service reports
- Collaborate daily with teachers, staff, and families to enhance student support
- Adapt service delivery to best serve a diverse Pre-K–12th grade population throughout the district
