This district-wide opportunity begins August 27, 2026, with a primary focus on delivering occupational therapy services to students from Pre-K through 12th grade. You’ll play a vital part in ensuring continuity of care during a 12-week FMLA leave, with the possibility of extension.
Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active COTA license/certification in Connecticut (CT DPH License and NBCOT exam passed)
- Prior school-based experience is preferred for a smooth transition into the role
- Comfortable collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and adapting to different school environments
- Ability to work effectively with students with diverse needs and disabilities
- Reliable transportation for district-wide travel between sites
Primary Responsibilities:
- Implement occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Support students’ academic and functional goals within classroom and therapeutic settings
- Document student progress meticulously and participate in team meetings as needed
- Communicate clearly with staff, educators, and families to optimize student outcomes
- Maintain flexibility, working approximately 7–7.5 hours per day, supporting multiple schools
