Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Licensed (or eligible for licensure) as a COTA in the state
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric environment is preferred
- Strong collaborative skills and willingness to work within multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Adaptability to meet students’ diverse needs and learning styles
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students in accordance with individual education plans (IEPs)
- Implement therapeutic activities as designed by licensed occupational therapists
- Collect data, monitor progress, and maintain accurate records for students
- Collaborate with educators, staff, and families to develop and execute strategies that enhance student participation in school activities
- Assist in creating a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students
