Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Active COTA certification in California
- Previous experience serving pediatric populations in a school or educational setting
- Solid understanding of child development and school-based occupational therapy practices
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to follow and implement individualized student treatment plans as directed by an Occupational Therapist
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy interventions to students as specified in their Individualized Education Plan (IEP)
- Assist with developing and practicing fine motor, sensory-motor, and self-care skills to support classroom participation
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to promote positive outcomes
- Document student progress and prepare reports under the supervision of an OT
- Support occasional meetings or consultations with educational teams
