Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification in California
- Previous experience working in pediatric or school-based settings required
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt interventions to meet individual student needs
- Professional, proactive, and compassionate attitude
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with occupational therapists to implement student-specific intervention plans
- Work with children individually or in small groups to develop fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living abilities
- Document progress and assist in adjusting treatment strategies as needed
- Communicate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support continuity of care
- Maintain compliance with all regulations and school policies
- Participate in IEP meetings, as requested, providing valuable input regarding student goals and progress
