You’ll be instrumental in assisting OTs with their caseloads and ensuring ongoing support for students’ therapeutic needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), licensed in Kansas or eligible for Kansas licensure.
- Prior experience in school or pediatric settings preferred, but motivated new grads are encouraged to apply.
- Strong communication and organizational skills to coordinate with supervising OTs and multiple school sites.
- Reliable transportation—willingness to travel between 1-3 assigned campuses weekly.
- Ability to work independently while receiving direction and supervision from registered OTs.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect therapy services under the guidance of supervising occupational therapists.
- Support student participation in functional, developmental, and academic activities as outlined in individualized education programs.
- Document progress and maintain accurate records for each student served.
- Collaborate with educational staff and OTs to adapt classroom materials or activities for individual student needs.
- Organize and manage weekly travel to assigned campuses. Your schedule will be self-determined in collaboration with your team.
