Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with valid state licensure
- Previous experience within a school-based or pediatric setting strongly preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively with occupational therapists, educators, and other support staff
- Excellent communication and time-management skills
- Capable of adapting to diverse student needs, including implementing creative, engaging therapy activities
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services to an elementary student caseload under OT supervision
- Implement treatment plans that support students’ goals for fine motor skills, sensory integration, self-care, and classroom participation
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and session notes
- Assist in progress monitoring and contribute input for IEP meetings as needed
- Provide resources and recommendations to teachers and families to promote generalization of skills in classroom and home environments
- Participate in team meetings and continuing education as required by the assignment
