Qualifications:
- Valid COTA license in the state of Virginia (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience working with pediatric populations, especially in school settings, is preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt strategies for diverse student needs
- Competence in maintaining accurate documentation and following IEP guidelines
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement occupational therapy treatment activities as directed by a supervising OT
- Assist with evaluations, progress monitoring, and maintaining required records
- Work directly with students in individual or small group settings, supporting fine motor, sensory, and daily living skills
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other support personnel to promote student success
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to IEP planning
- Ensure safe, inclusive, and positive student experiences in all therapy sessions
