Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity working onsite with students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) serving caseloads throughout a local district near New Castle, DE. Key Qualifications:
- Active and current Delaware COTA license (required)
- Experience within school-based or pediatric settings strongly valued
- Willingness and ability to complete all onboarding requirements, including TB test, Child Protective Registry Check, and fingerprinting process ($85 candidate cost)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, educators, and fellow therapists
- Adaptable and reliable, capable of supporting a range of needs across district caseloads
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted occupational therapy interventions to students as outlined in their IEPs
- Support and track student progress, contributing to team meetings and reporting as necessary
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to promote student access to educational opportunities
- Maintain thorough documentation of services in accordance with school and district policies
- Travel between assigned school sites as needed
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training during the contract
Assignment Details:
- Start as soon as possible, continuing through June 10, 2027
- Monday through Friday schedule, regular school hours
- Full in-person, onsite role across district schools
All contracted staff must complete a district contractor packet prior to starting. Please note the turnaround for packet processing may take up to five business days once completed documentation is submitted.
