Step into a rewarding role supporting students’ occupational therapy needs in a dynamic educational setting. This contract opportunity is available from August 3, 2026, to November 20, 2026, with the possibility of extension through winter break. You’ll be working a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, providing direct services and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications & Desired Experience
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential, current and in good standing
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric environment is preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP documentation and student progress tracking
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt interventions for diverse learners and varying abilities
- Organizational skills to manage caseload and meet deadlines
Primary Responsibilities
- Deliver direct and indirect occupational therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs
- Assist with the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans
- Document student performance, maintain thorough records, and report progress
- Collaborate with occupational therapists, special education staff, and teachers to maximize student outcomes
- Support inclusive practices and participate in relevant meetings or trainings as needed
- Engage with parents and caregivers, offering updates and recommendations
