The assignment runs from August 3, 2026, through November 20, 2026, with the possibility of extension into winter break. Help students reach their full potential in a Monday-Friday schedule, working from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm each day.
Key Qualifications:
- Active COTA certification in California
- Previous experience in a school-based setting or with pediatric populations preferred
- Familiarity with educational OT protocols, IEP processes, and documentation standards
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with teachers, therapists, and support staff
- Strong communication skills and a caring, student-focused approach
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy interventions to students under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Support students in developing fine motor skills, sensory processing, and adaptive skills for academic success
- Maintain accurate progress notes and documentation throughout the assignment
- Participate in team meetings to update progress and collaborate on strategies
- Help create an inclusive, supportive environment for all learners
