- Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Valid license (or eligibility) to practice as a COTA in California
- Experience working in school-based or pediatric settings is highly preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent organizational and documentation abilities
- Compassionate, flexible, and proactive approach to student care
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist occupational therapists in implementing individualized education program (IEP) goals for students
- Support students in developing fine motor, sensory processing, and functional life skills
- Maintain detailed and accurate intervention records and progress reports
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to ensure therapy goals are integrated within classroom activities
- Promote a positive, safe, and encouraging therapy experience for every student
- Engage in ongoing professional development and staff meetings as required
