Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in California
- Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Ability to adapt activities and interventions for diverse learning needs
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to elementary students, as outlined in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate closely with licensed OTs, school staff, and families for comprehensive student support
- Assist in developing and modifying classroom activities and materials to support student participation
- Maintain accurate records of sessions, progress reports, and required documentation
- Participate in team meetings and contribute valuable input on student progress and strategies
