Qualifications and Experience:
- Hold a current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the state
- Previous experience in pediatric or school-based settings preferred
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to support individualized education plans (IEPs) and related service delivery
- Flexibility and adaptability to dynamic school environments
Responsibilities:
- Implement occupational therapy treatment plans under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Provide direct support to students to enhance their independence and participation in the school environment
- Assist in documentation of student progress and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, therapists, and parents
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all school and state requirements
