Qualifications:
- Active COTA certification and license to practice in California
- Experience in a school environment or with pediatric populations preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with teachers, students, and families
- Understanding of developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Ability to adapt to changing caseloads and priorities within a school environment
- Proficiency in documenting treatment progress and maintaining accurate records
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the delivery of occupational therapy services as outlined by supervising OTs and student IEPs
- Support students in classroom routines, fine and gross motor skills, sensory integration, and adaptive techniques
- Collaborate closely with educators, therapists, and families to monitor progress and adjust interventions
- Provide input for IEP meetings and help maintain compliance with educational and clinical standards
- Educate school staff and caretakers on strategies to facilitate student independence and participation
- Maintain detailed documentation of each session and report on student progress as required
