Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Currently licensed (Connecticut DPH) COTA, with successful completion of the NBCOT exam
- Experience in school settings highly preferred
- Confident working with diverse student populations from early childhood through high school
- Reliable transportation and the ability to navigate between district campuses as needed
Primary Responsibilities:
- Implement occupational therapy treatment plans under an Occupational Therapist's supervision
- Provide direct student support and interventions targeting fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation
- Monitor and document student progress in accordance with IEP goals and state/district standards
- Support and collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and families to maximize student growth
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing assessment and goal planning
- Maintain accurate records and uphold confidentiality standards
What Awaits You:
- Full-time, approximately 7–7.5 hours per day (final daily schedule confirmed by the district)
- District-wide coverage from August 27, 2026, for about 12 weeks, with the potential for extension
