This contract opportunity begins August 27, 2026, covering approximately 12 weeks for a maternity/FMLA leave, with a strong likelihood of extension. Key Qualifications:
- Active Connecticut COTA license/certification (CT DPH License and NBCOT Exam) OR active Connecticut OT license
- Experience working in school-based settings strongly preferred
- Background supporting students in Pre-K through 12th grade
- Reliable transportation for travel within the district
- Confidence navigating temporary assignments and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students with a variety of needs, ensuring each receives tailored support
- Collaborate closely with educators, administrators, and families to promote student well-being and academic success
- Implement individualized treatment plans and document progress according to district policies
- Travel between schools as needed, providing support district-wide
- Maintain clear professional communication and uphold confidentiality
- For COTAs, practice under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist as required
