Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Active COTA license in Virginia (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Ability to follow treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive environment for all students
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement prescribed therapy interventions and activities with students, as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Assist with developing and modifying materials to support student achievement of IEP goals
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and regulatory requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team
- Provide feedback and recommendations to teachers and staff on strategies to support student access and participation
